Straightline Air Hammer Repair

Following the damage to our rock hammer in Bloemfontein, we decided to take up an opportunity to purchase an excellent condition second-hand Straight Line RockEye Air Hammer.

Upon collecting the Rock Hammer we found that the hammer wouldn't start up, we stripped the hammer and found sediment build-up in the piston assembly, we stripped the hammer completely, cleaned all the internals, and replaced some seals.

We also needed to reduce the overall size of our adaptor.

Once we assembled the Rock Hammer we proceeded to test the Rock Hammer, we were extremely satisfied with the concussive force produced by a small 7-bar compressor, the minimum operating bar according to the manufactures specs is 21 bar.
