Astec 4045 Track Tensioner Repairs

Upon investigating we found that the bearings of the tensioner housing were completely disintegrated and there was excessive wear to the main tensioner shaft as well as the internal bearing housing.

We started off with machining out the worn bearing hub. We then machined a internal bearing housing out of EN19T which we installed into the track hub. Lastly, we machined a shaft with a grease channel and grease nipple to grease the bearings as part of preventative maintenance.

We also machined two spacers to center the track tensioner to the track drive motor, installed new bearings and assembled the track tensioner.
