American Auger DD-10 Track Motor Repair

Upon establishing onsite for a Pipe Reaming job, our American Auger DD-10 HDD rigs right track motor broke all the bolts holding the main drive cog to the motor. The rig was immobile and had to be stripped onsite.

All the bolts sheared off flush to the motor housing, we set up the motor housing on our milling machine and used a end mill to remove the high tensile bolts. We retaped the thread for the new high tensile bolts and gave the motor a little clean up with a touch of paint.

The motor housing was then sent to site and assemble onsite. Completed in a day.
